November Edition | Modern Vs. Traditional Rosé

This month we place two excellent producers side-by-side to highlight the differences between a modern and traditional producer.Our modern winemaker is the young Etienne Calsac using full malo, stainless steel and only a little oak to create a mineral driven style with freshness and texture. This is in direct contrast to our traditional producer this month Alfred Gratien where there is no malo, full use of oak and long ageing to create a velvety, multi-layered style of rosé with plenty of depth and dimension. The styles vary completely and show how the winemaking and ageing can make a real difference. October Edition | The Best of Taste Champagne 2019

Taste Champagne is an annual champagne event where many producers and importers get together to show their champagne and many of you have been to this in your respective states. We chose two of the most exciting producers that we felt really shone at the show. They are Franck Bonville based in the Cru village of Avize and Andre Clouet based in the Grand Cru village of Bouzy. Both are vintage, both are made by grower-producers and both the next generation of champagne vignerons.
