This month looks at two growers; Georges Vesselle, based in the Grand Cru of Bouzy and Champagne Louise Brison who is based in Noë-les-Mallets in the Côte des Bar. 'Cuvée Juline' from Georges Vesselle is a multi-vintage blend taking some of the best vintages from the last 5-10 years. From the details on the bottle, it looks like a base from from 2017. The blend is 80% pinot noir and 20% chardonnay and aged for 5 years under cork. Dosage is about 4-5 g/l. One of our favourite ways of introducing new and exciting producers to you is through our 'Village focus' mini series and in this month our energies align with the 99% rated Premier cru Village of 'Mareuil-Sur-Aÿ. 

As part of our ‘regional focus’ series, we have chosen to look at the sub terroir of Petite Montagne de Reims and the Vallee de L'Ardre which boast some excellent producers making superb champagne. Our producers of focus this month are firstly Nicolas Maillart, based in Villers-aux-Nœuds who is making waves in the champagne region producing high quality, artisanal champagne.
