Champagne Lointier is a small grower-producer in the Champagne region (France), run by a young couple — Jean-Baptiste Lointier and his wife Hélène. The domaine is very much a micro-estate, producing only about 3,000–5,000 bottles per year.
They began planting and cultivating vines in 2007 and started making their own champagnes commercially in 2016, with the first bottlings reaching market around 2020.
Vineyards & Philosophy
Location: Western part of the Vallée de la Marne — one of Champagne’s key sub-regions known especially for Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir.
Size: Approximately 3–3.5 hectares of vineyards, planted mainly with Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier.
Farming: They use organic/biodynamic practices and are certified organic. Herbicides and insecticides are avoided.
Natural Elements: Jean-Baptiste and Hélène are also passionate beekeepers, and bees are featured on their labels — a nod to nature and their family history.
Their approach in the vineyard and cellar aligns with a minimal-intervention philosophy aimed at expressing the true character of each terroir plot, including use of traditional and alternative fermentation vessels.
