What to expect

Bright yellow fruit on the nose and golden in colour in the glass. The moment you pop your nose in the glass you immediately sense warmth and generosity with  aromas of white flowers, honey suckle, lemon cake and toasty richness coming from lees ageing. The luscious, richness of this silky smooth champagne is balanced with a nice line of acidity and freshness.

The cuvee leads with chardonnay from Grand Cru village Avize with the balance being 30% pinot noir and 20% meunier. The chardonnay in this brilliant entry level champagne has moved from taut acidity to being round and luxuriant. This is an exceptional value cuvee and if you like Bollinger or cuvees with extra body then you will enjoy this boutique grower. Don't be shy, try a bottle or two - your guests will thank you!

About the house

About the house

Food pairing

Founded in Avize, a village of Champagne ranked as a Grand Cru, the House of Frerejean Frères was established in 2005. Only 10 hectares in size, this boutique production aspires to preserve and respect the unique terroir, allowing the vines and the wines to express the power and the subtlety of the land. The Frerejean-Taittinger brothers grew up with love and respect for the Champagne tradition. Passionate for oenology, Guillaume, Richard and Rodolphe created their own House of Champagne. Rodolphe has a lot of flair and style and this is reflected in their champagnes.

Food pairing

We love the energy and freshness of the wine as well as that lees richness. Perhaps a light, fresh goats cheese with baguette and green grapes would set this off.
