What to Expect

Laherte Frères Rosé de Meunier is a vivid, expressive and beautifully textural rosé Champagne made entirely from old-vine Meunier. It strikes an impeccable balance between pure red-fruited charm and serious complexity, showcasing the grape’s maturity and depth when handled with precision. Expect a Champagne that is both vibrant and refined — bursting with orange peel, cranberry, sweet red berry, mint and chalky tension. It’s captivating, incisive, and utterly delicious, with the kind of perfume and energy that makes each sip feel alive.

Food Pairings

Thanks to its blend of fruitiness, structure and saline freshness, Rosé de Meunier pairs beautifully with a wide range of dishes. Try it with charcuterie, duck rillettes, cured salmon, tuna tataki, tomato-based dishes, grilled prawns, or even lightly spiced Asian cuisine. The wine’s red-fruit vibrancy also makes it wonderful alongside soft cheeses, berry-driven desserts or rosé-friendly favourites like roast chicken or mushroom flatbreads.

Technical Notes

Rosé de Meunier is crafted from 100% Meunier, sourced from approximately 30-year-old vines grown with ecological respect. The blend combines 30% macerated Meunier, 10% still red Meunier, and 60% white Meunier wine, with 40% of the white portion coming from reserve wines aged in barrel. Grapes are hand-picked at full ripeness and pressed traditionally. Alcoholic fermentation occurs in vats, foudres and barrels, followed by partial malolactic fermentation and ageing on fine lees for texture and depth. Disgorgement is performed by hand, highlighting the artisanal commitment to detail.
