An oenologist and agronomist, Rémi Leroy was trained in Bordeaux. He now takes a low intervention approach to his winemaking, picking the grapes when they are fully ripe to allow for lower dosages across his champagnes.
Located in Côte des Bar, the terroir is exceptional. Composed of clay-limestone from the Jurassic period, the predominant grape harvested is Pinot Noir. Although Remi, along with his father, are working towards replanting Chardonnay to give more diversity to their winemaking.
Remi is meticulous in everything from his vineyards to cellar to digital presence. One look at his website and you will understand what we are talking about: the attention to detail is exceptional. The champagnes themselves are beautifully balanced and have the potential to age gracefully.
