Founded in 1746, Champagne Lilbert-Fils is a remarkably small family-run producer specialising in Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs. Bertrand Lilbert works alongside his father, farming just 8.6 acres of Grand Cru vineyards, with vines averaging around 45 years of age and some parcels dating back to the 1930s. Production remains tiny at approximately 2,200 cases annually, allowing the family to maintain a highly focused approach to its vineyards and wines. With holdings exclusively in Cramant, Chouilly and Oiry, Lilbert-Fils produces beautifully classical expressions of the chalk-rich terroir that defines this celebrated Chardonnay region.
