In 1902, Blaise Dozorme a steel worker, setup shop in La Monnerie and began designing and making knifes. In 1934, Valentin, Blaise Dozorme's son took over the shop and further developed the family's craftsmanship. In the 1970s, Valentin's son Claude invested in tools and machinery thus giving the house the opportunity to develop its market on a much larger scale. Ten years later, the brand Claude Dozorme was born.
