Champagne Waris et Filles is a family-owned champagne house built on heritage, passion, and craftsmanship. After completing business studies, Virginie, alongside Bertrand who studied viticulture, spent five years working amongst the vineyards and olive groves of Provence before returning to Champagne to continue their family legacy. Today, they proudly care for seven hectares of vineyards passed down through generations — a responsibility they approach with dedication, generosity, and respect for the land. As artisan winemakers, they nurture their vines and craft their champagnes with meticulous attention and a genuine love for their craft.
Now in its fourth generation, Champagne Waris et Filles cultivates nearly seven hectares of vineyards spread across some of Champagne’s most renowned terroirs. Their vineyard is composed of 25% Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs and Sézannais, 68% Pinot Noir from Sézannais, Épernay, and the Aube, alongside 8% Pinot Meunier from the Ardre Valley. These exceptional UNESCO World Heritage-listed terroirs provide the perfect environment to grow the region’s three iconic grape varieties. The diversity of soils and microclimates across these parcels brings remarkable complexity, elegance, and aromatic richness to each champagne they produce.
At Champagne Waris et Filles, sustainability and respect for nature are at the heart of every decision made in the vineyard. The estate uses only 100% organic fertilisers and avoids chemical pesticides entirely, allowing the vines to develop naturally and establish deep roots within the soil. This patient and thoughtful approach encourages healthier vines, vibrant fruit, and wines that truly reflect their terroir. Fully aligned with the traditions and regulations of the Champagne region, every harvest is completed by hand — a rewarding moment that celebrates months of careful work and the exceptional quality of the grapes.
