Steeped in history, this family estate has passed down its winemaking savoir-faire from father to son since 1776. Nestled across 65 vineyard blocks spanning 8.5 hectares in Verzy, a revered Grand Cru village of the Grande Montagne de Reims, the domaine expresses the essence of its land through time-honoured tradition and thoughtful innovation.
The vineyards thrive on calcareous clay and loam soils over chalk from the Lower Campanian, with a northeastern exposure that enhances the finesse and tension of each cuvée. Embracing biodynamic viticulture since 2008 and Demeter certified, the estate is a living ecosystem — enriched by agroforestry, with over 1,500 trees and shrubs and 800 aromatic plants like thyme, oregano, and savory interwoven through the vines. Harmony with nature extends beyond the soil. Sheep and chickens graze during winter, fostering balance and vitality within the vineyard.
The plantings reflect both heritage and diversity: 60% Pinot Noir, 35% Chardonnay, and 5% heritage varieties including Arbane, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Meunier, and Petit Meslier — each contributing to a Champagne deeply expressive of its climate, terroir, and family spirit.
