The origins of the Herbert-Pechon family are lost in the mists of time. It took two centuries to establish the vineyard.
Winegrowers passed down from father to son for three generations, they lovingly and passionately perpetuate the virtues of Dom Pérignon (who discovered effervescence), in an artisanal spirit, a method that remains traditional.
By practicing the judicious blending of the three Champagne grape varieties, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Meunier, they are able to lighten or full-bodied their vintages to suit individual tastes. In 1982, Didier Herbert took over the business. The desire to preserve the personality of these Champagnes inspires the entire team, who today work to ensure the longevity of Champagne Didier Herbert.
A total of 30 plots across five communes make up their vineyard. For the 1er Crus sector (Rilly la Montagne, Ludes and Trois Puits) and for the grands crus Mailly Champagne and Verzenay.
