At the heart of G. Wanner’s philosophy is a deep respect for Champagne’s chalk-rich soils. The house works primarily with vineyards in the Premier Cru villages of Bisseuil and Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, where exceptionally pure chalk terroirs create wines of remarkable tension, finesse, and mineral purity. These soils naturally regulate water and encourage the vines to root deeply, producing grapes with clarity, freshness, and precision. Through careful vineyard management and restrained winemaking, G. Wanner allows the terroir to speak clearly in every cuvée.
