Established in 1808, today the four hectare Chamery estate is managed by Benoist and Isabelle Perseval. Benoist participates in sustainable viticulture and has a level three ‘High Environmental Value’ certification. To continue caring for the land for future generations, the family plans to gain fully organic certification when Benoist’s son joins the business full-time. In addition to producing the three locally dominant grape varieties - Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Meunier, the house also harvests the “forgotten” varietals, including Arbanne, Petit Meslier and Fromenteau (AKA Pinot Gris).
Wanting to reintroduce wine lovers to the lesser known grapes, the house believes that these varieties can bring innovations to already exceptional cuvées. These guys love their vineyards as much as they love their wines.
