Lepreux-Penet invites you into a world that feels almost magical — where Champagne is crafted entirely by the house, born from Grand Cru classified land, and guided by deep respect for nature and tradition. Based in Verzy and Verzenay, the estate is Certified Organic and continues its commitment to the land through biodynamic practices, strengthening the vitality of the vines and the natural balance between soil, sky, and plant.

Their wines are aged secretly in extraordinary 19th-century chalk quarries, 18 metres beneath the earth, where bottles rest slowly in silence for a minimum of four years — and up to more than ten years for vintage cuvées. In this hushed underground world, chalk provides a natural equilibrium and imprints a distinctive texture and resonance into the wine, allowing each cuvée to reach what the house calls “vibrational maturity.”

Even the creative spirit here is unique: the wines are said to be enhanced by the music of Bach, and shaped by ancestral know-how, sacred patience, and a philosophy rooted in authenticity. As Baudelaire once described it — “that soul that dances in the bottle.”
