Moët & Chandon

Moët & Chandon is one of the most recognisable names in champagne. Founded in 1743 by Claude Moët, he worked to make his champagne the most sought after in Europe. His grandson, Jean Remy Moët, took the brand to international prominence.

Over 1000 hectares of rich limestone soil make up the vineyard, 50% of which is classed as Grand Cru and 25% Premier Cru. They have the largest vineyard area in Champagne and a substantial 28 km of underground cellars. They also source grapes from an extensive list of other vineyards, with this sourcing diversity ensuring blends with a consistent taste each year. Over 20 million bottles of their non-vintage champagne is estimated to be sold annually.
