Champagne Guy Charlemagne is situated in the heart of the Côte des Blancs, within the small village of Mesnil-sur-Oger. Passed down from father to son since 1892, the House harvests and vinifies grapes from their 15 hectares of vineyards only, in order to highlight the quality and authenticity of the terroir. Located in the Grand Cru region, and Chardonnay is King country, there’s no surprise 87% of Guy Charlemagne vineyard is Chardonnay grapes, with the rest being the Pinot Noir variety. The House takes a natural approach, by harvesting their grapes in September when they are at perfect maturity and fermenting in a dark, temperature controlled cellar.
