Unlike most Blanc de Blancs Marteaux Guillaume does not originate on soils that are known for their Chardonnay growth. Instead Le Métèque was grown on traditionally Pinot Meunier plots in Bonneil and Charly-sur-Marne (Vallée de la Marne).

100% Chardonnay from Bonneil and Charly-sur-Marne, on clay-limestone and sand soils. Base year 2017, with 25% perpetual wine blend. No malolactic fermentation. Vinifaction in stainless steel tank and oak barrel (58%). Dosage 1 g/L. Aged 5 years on lees.
