We are seeing more exciting Meunier dominant wines coming out of champagne and the Dehours estate is carving out immaculate, expressive and mouth-filling examples.
This is fresher and lighter than the Grande Reserve in comparison with some yellow fruit, citrus peel, red apple and juicy acidity to keep the mouth alive. There is a small addition of reserve wine, it is aged in the cellar in barrel for about 20 months and in bottle for a further 18-30 months.
The shorter time on lees, leaves for a fresher, lighter style of wine and with the low addition of only 2 g/l of sugar, this makes for a lifted and clean style. Succumb to the Charm of Meunier, what do you have to lose?
