Black grape, blueberry and wine gums on the nose. Pure, clean and fresh. An excellent example of Blanc de noirs without oak. The use of concrete egg creates a neutral platform for this Grand Cru Pinot noir to express itself fully. Twenty-eighteen was an incredibly good year for pinot noir in general and it shows. The palate has body, savoury tones and sensational length, with swirls of salty-blackberry, licorice root and herbal nuances.

The adventure of this family of winegrowers began with Sadi Malot at the beginning of the 20th century. The son of a Champagne grower with an odd first name was so named because he was born on the day of the assassination of the President of the French Republic Sadi Carnot (1887-1894).

Unfortunately, Sadi Malot was mobilised in the First World War and died at the front. His brother, Socrate Malot, decided to pay tribute to him by naming his eldest son after him. Today, Cindy Malot is 5th generation and she runs the estate with her family.

Since then, each generation has been able to enhance the heritage of its elders to bring out the full potential of an exceptional terroir. Today, the Malot family cultivates 8.2 hectares of Chardonnay and 1.8 hectares of Pinot Noir with the Pinot noir plots being converted to organic.

100% pinot noir, grand cru verzy, full malo-lactic fermentation, extra brut, blanc de noirs, HVE certified, converting to organic. Fermented in Concrete egg

Pair with with either confit Duck or seared Venison. For veggies, try earthy beetroot, drunken cherries and pureed, silver beet.
