The Brut Grande Réserve follows the same vinification method and philosophy as the whole Frerejean Frères range.

Head wine maker, Didier Pierson, has decided to bring a small amount of Pinot Meunier into the blend in order to elaborate a cuvée with a lot of complexity, but which can also be consumed younger. The Pinot Meunier makes its comeback, bringing roundness, suppleness and gentle floral aromas to wines that have been aged on average for three years.

This cuvée is the perfect balance between the three emblematic Champagne grape varieties. The Chardonnay brings elegance and finesse, with pastry notes. Then the Pinot Noir takes over by giving us its roundness and its structure and by expressing its notes of mango, peach and honey. Throughout the tasting the Pinot Meunier sets the rhythm with its floral freshness and notes of acacia on the finish.

Founded in Avize, a village of Champagne ranked as a Grand Cru, the House of Frerejean Frères was established in 2005. Only 10 hectares in size, this boutique production aspires to preserve and respect the unique terroir, allowing the vines and the wines to express the power and the subtlety of the land. The Frerejean-Taittinger brothers grew up with love and respect for the Champagne tradition. Passionate for oenology, Guillaume, Richard and Rodolphe created their own House of Champagne. Rodolphe has a lot of flair and style and this is reflected in their champagnes.
