Yann Alexandre

Champagne Yann Alexandre is a family-run grower-producer based in the Montagne de Reims, where tradition, precision, and terroir expression sit at the heart of every wine. After studying agronomy, viticulture, and oenology across Beaune, Rouffach, Avize, Switzerland, and Bordeaux, Yann Alexandre returned to his village with a deep understanding of both vineyard and cellar craft. Together with his wife Séverine, whom he met in 1995, the couple have built a house focused on authenticity, balance, and meticulous attention to detail — producing champagnes that are expressive, elegant, and unmistakably personal.

A Philosophy Rooted in Terroir & Sustainability

Yann Alexandre’s philosophy begins in the vineyard, with a strong commitment to sustainable viticulture and environmental responsibility. The estate is certified High Environmental Value (HVE) Level 3, recognising its careful approach to preserving biodiversity and reducing environmental impact. Each parcel is treated individually to highlight its unique character, with a strong focus on achieving optimal grape ripeness and purity. Rather than creating heavily manipulated wines, Yann aims to allow each site and season to speak naturally through the glass, crafting champagnes that reflect both the history of the region and the personality of the vintage.

Known for low dosage wines, extended ageing, and exceptional balance, Yann Alexandre’s champagnes have gained growing international recognition for their finesse and terroir-driven style. Forbes described the house’s Brut Noir as “one of the most representative champagnes of the region,” praising its balance of texture, fruit, and chalky precision. French wine publication La Revue du Vin de France also highlighted the domaine’s wines for their freshness, refined structure, chalky acidity, and strong sense of origin.
