Frerejean Frères Rosé NV

Sale price

On the nose, very flattering with notes of candied red fruit, blackberries and blackcurrant. We like the expressive Pinot noir, quite unusual in the Frerejean Frères range, which shows its density and minerality then gives away the spot-light to an assertive and silky Chardonnay.

All fruit for this is sourced from Premier and Grand Cru sites along the Côte des Blancs.

Its toasty aromas mixed perfectly with the red fruits of the Pinot Noir. It is a round, fruity wine, a signature of the rosés of the Côte des Blancs.

Founded in Avize, a village of Champagne ranked as a Grand Cru, the House of Frerejean Frères was established in 2005. Only 10 hectares in size, this boutique production aspires to preserve and respect the unique terroir, allowing the vines and the wines to express the power and the subtlety of the land. The Frerejean-Taittinger brothers grew up with love and respect for the Champagne tradition. Passionate for oenology, Guillaume, Richard and Rodolphe created their own House of Champagne. Rodolphe has a lot of flair and style and this is reflected in their champagnes.

60% Chardonnay from Grand Cru plots and 40% Pinot Noir from Premier Cru plots. 14% of Pinot Noir vinified into red wine. Non Vintage. Tête de cuvée. Malolactic fermantation. 30% of reserve wines aged in barrels from the harvests of 2015 & 2016. Resting at least 6 months after disgorgement. Low dosage Brut.

The versatility of this rosé would see it pair beautifully with a fresh seafood platter or even a Black Forest gateau.
