Chartogne-Taillet
Generations of the Chartogne-Taillet family tender to the vines and ultimately turned their winemaking skills to the famous sparkling wine of the region.
Established in Merfy in 1683, Chartogne-Taillet’s vineyards are located North of the Montagne de Reims, 8 kilometres from Reims, on the southern tip of the Massif de Saint-Thierry. At the heart of the Chartogne-Taillet philosophy is the search for the individual identity of their soils, allowing the wines to reveal an authentic and representative character unique to the village.
After a ‘stage’ with Anselme Selosse, grower Alexandre Chartogne has been running his family's estate since 2006.
Chartogne-Taillet
Having a passion for champagne can be tiring if you don’t have a lot of options or simply don’t have any idea about which bottle to buy. For that reason alone, Emperor Champagne is able to help you. A quick look at our champagne collection will show you that we have a lengthy product line, including Chartogne-Taillet champagne.
This particular brand has been around for centuries and we can say with certainty that the champagne they produce is exquisite.
Our Chartogne-Taillet Collection
Our current collection of champagne by Chartogne-Taillet includes four different bottles, all of which will take you aback.
Cuvee Sainte Anne. Made with 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay, this champagne contains just 4g of sugar per litre. During the production, there is no filtration and only natural yeasts are used in order to ferment the champagne. You can expect generous flavours yet a chalky texture, and perhaps sit down to a roast beef dinner before pouring a glass.
Heurtebise ’11. If you’re a fan of citrussy flavours in your champagne, then you’ll quickly acquaint with the Heurtebise ’11. The rich taste will quickly hit your palate while your tongue embraces the acidity – this champagne is an all-around crowd pleaser, perfect for a romantic night in or a casual gathering.
Les Orizeaux ’12. With the Les Orizeaux ’12, there’s one thing that makes it unique – it’s spicy as well as rich. This is made completely of Pinot Noir and offers a hint of vanilla to accompany the spiciness. Although only 2200 bottles have been produced of the Les Orizeaux ’12, at Empire Champagne we’re proud that we can offer our fair share of bottles.
Couarres Chateau ’12. The final bottle you can buy from our store is the Couarres Chateau ’12. This Chartogne-Taillet brut, while acidic, has a fruity and wildflower-based aroma which makes it perfect to pair with grilled meat and various cheeses.
Order Chartogne-Taillet from Emperor Champagne
For years Emperor Champagne has built up a reputation as one of the best champagne sellers in Australia, and there’s a very good reason for that.
Designer Packaging. When your champagne is delivered to your home, the first thing you’ll see is the packaging. We feel it’s important that as such, the packaging should be just as stylish and luxurious as the champagne itself.
Champagne for Everyone. Everyone should be able to enjoy champagne no matter what. At Emperor Champagne, we are constantly adding to our collections so that after browsing our store, you’ll be satisfied that you’ve found the right beverage for you.
Our Club. One of our priorities is to continue building a community of champagne lovers. To do this, we began the Emperor Champagne Club where anyone can sign up to become a member. In return, you’ll be sent monthly bottles of champagne and several other benefits – our opinion may be biased, but it’s worth your while!
Place Your Order!
In just a few minutes you’re able to select the champagne of your choice, pick the packaging, and place an order – it’s that simple. We recommend tasting a bottle from Chartogne-Taillet, but if it’s not for you, there are plenty of others available.
Whether you’re a new champagne lover or a connoisseur, we want you to become a member of the Emperor Champagne Club!
