The Comtes de Champagne is the finest example of the Taittinger House style and thanks to perfect conditions, this 2008 vintage is set to be the best Comtes de Champagne we have ever seen. Aged for 12 years in the chalk querries beneath Saint-Nicaise, this is an exceptional champagne made with patience, expertise and passion.
Comtes de Champagne is made with 100% white grapes from five Grand Cru villages: Avize, Chouilly, Cramant, Oger, Mesnil-sur-Oger. Only first press juice is used (best quality of the grapes). A small percentage (5 %) of the blend is aged in fresh oak barrels to create the very delicate balance of toasted notes in the final wine.
Suggested serving temperature for this wine and other vintage wines would be around 10-12 degrees Celsius. This cuvee does not come in a Taittinger gift box, but can be gift wrapped in an Emperor signature gift box.
