What to expect

In April 2018 we met with Nicolas Delion - the International export Director for Taittinger. When as how he would describe this, he said, it's like "Beauty & the Beast." Exotic and Powerful. We were mesmerised by the sheer depth, richness and smoky notes that this wine expresses yet with freshness and a lift to keep everything in check.

"True to the dry and hot 2009 season, this is a powerfully rich rendition of vintage Taittinger, rejoicing in baked apple, black cherry and fig fruit, and even nuances of toffee. It pulls into a focused and poised finish of gentle acid structure and well-toned dosage, with phenolic bitterness admirably subtle and well handled. A vintage to drink right away."

Tyson Stelzer - The Champagne Guide 2018-2019

Technical details

Taittinger only produces a vintage Champagne when the harvests present exceptional qualities. This requirement is followed by several years of ageing in the cellars, ensuring a slow maturing of the flavours and the development of length and complexity.Taittinger Brut Millésimé 2009 is a blend of exclusively first press wines. It consists of 50% Chardonnay from «Grands Crus» in the Côte des Blancs region, and 50% Pinot Noir from «Grands Crus» in the Montagne de Reims and the beginning of the Marne Valley.
