- Deep coloured and vinous style of Rosé champagne
- Made using 100% pinot noir from a single vineyard 'les Champs Brûles'
- Pair with Red Duck Curry, with coconut rice and fragrant spice
This is for those of you who have discovered you like rosé, particularly with Pinot noir that is macerated. Add to that old vines from 1964 (birth year?) and that it is a Single-Vineyard from the Grand Cru village of Verzy and you have landed on something truly unique. Did we say that this is strictly limited? Only 500 bottles produced.
The village of Verzenay is located 17 km south-east of Reims. Located on the hillside and surrounded by vines, it is crowned by the forest of the Montagne de Reims. Its prestigious Grand Cru classified vineyard (among the 17 in Champagne) covers 500 hectares, explored by many winegrowers. The largest Champagne Houses all have a vineyard there to develop their prestigious vintages. It is here that the Rousseaux family has been working the vines since the end of the 18th century. It was at the beginning of the 20th century that the first bottles were marketed under the name of Paul Rousseaux. His son, Michel develops handling, his grandson, Denis created the current Rousseaux-Batteux brand in 1976 with his wife Laurence, niece of the famous football coach of the great stadium of Reims and of the French team, Albert Batteux. Currently, with the arrival of Adrien within the estate, it is the 4th generation of "Rousseaux" who make our various cuvées with respect for traditions.
