About Rémi Leroy:
An oenologist and agronomist, Remi Leroy was trained in Bordeaux. Along with his father they manage their family vineyards of 8 hectares in Meurville, Côte des Bar. The terroir is exceptional, composed of clay-limestone from the Jurassic period. Their flagship grape is Pinot Noir (72% of their vineyards) which is the star grape in the region, the rest being 20% Chardonnay and 8% Pinot Meunier. Remi and his father and working on replanting Chardonnay to give more diversity to their winemaking. Their wines are simply superb and speak for themselves.

About Palmer & Co:
The champagne house was founded in 1947 by group of 7 growers in the town of Avize. They called themselves 'Société des Grands Crus de la Champagne' because at the time, only growers that owned grand cru vineyards could join. Between them, they had grand cru vineyards in the areas of the Côte des Blancs and the Montagne de Reims and they banded together as they were seeking to make better wines than they could achieve separately. So how did the name come about? Well this truly is an interesting story and through our research we discovered some interesting facts. The founders at first tried to create an acronym using their initials to form a name, which you can imagine was frustrating and ended nowhere. At a loss with what to do, the story goes, a very famous biscuit company called Huntley & Palmer, based in Berkshire, UK, inspired them. They were biscuit makers to the Royal family and received Royal warrants by Napoleon III. Apparently as many imports were restricted during the war back in the 1940's, the people of Reims or Remois as they are referred to were prepared to pay more for a packet of biscuits than a bottle of champagne!

About Benoît Déhu:
Benoit is an eighth generation vigneron that returned to the family estate after working for Bollinger. He is committed to natural farming and aims to craft unadultered, pure Pinot Meunier. He purchased this 1.7 hectare vineyard and farms it biodynamically. The results are exceptional and we are thrilled to introduce Benoit's work to our dedicated champagne lovers. The Cuvee 'La Rue de Noyers', named for the walnut trees that line the parcel, is a wine that will keep you intrigued and coming back for more. - Doug Polaner

Rémi Leroy Blanc de Noirs 2016:
100% Pinot noir from barrel selection. Disgorged November 2020 with 2 g/L

Palmer & Co Blanc de Noirs: The Pinot noir comes from the Mountain of Reims with historic plots which are the Grand Crus of Mailly-Champagne, Verzenay, Verzy, Puisieulx, Sillery, Bouzy and Ambonnay and the renowned Premier Crus of Ludes, Chigny-les-Roses, and Rilly-la-Montagne (Ludes, Rilly-la Montagne et la Vallée de la marne)

The Pinot Meunier rules supreme over the West of La Montagne de Reims, in particular in the Premier Crus of Sacy and Villedommange (Rilly-la Montagne, Ludes)as well as in La Vallée de La Marne, the other region of preference of this grape variety which will bring roundness to the Palmer & Co. cuvées.

Benoît Déhu Initiation Blanc de Noirs: Biodynamically farmed and produced. A blend of 78% pinot noir and 22% meunier. The Pinot noir is all from a Burgundy clone. Fermented in 228 litre oak barrels and rested on lees for 10 months. Unfiltered, unfined and bottled without dosage. V17
