What to expect

 - A new creation by Thierry Gasco, Cellar Master of Maison Pommery

- A perfect pale peach colour that opens to fresh, zesty, sherbety fruit

- Rich and well-balanced

The Rosé Apanage is a selection of the Maison’s best crus and the new creation by Thierry Gasco, Cellar Master of Maison Pommery. Destined for the most prestigious gourmet restaurants, this wine has fresh and fine aromas characteristic to the Maison's wines. This Rosé Apanage is sure to please fans of a pastel shade of wine.

On the nose: Great freshness and wonderful elegance revealing aromas of little red berries like red currants, raspberries and woodland strawberries combined with Granny apple notes.

On the palate: Rich and well-balanced. It allows all the hinted-at flavours to develop by revealing their aromas. It boasts a fine amplitude and the harmony we love to see in a rosé Champagne. It is very easy to savour and the lingering suaveness is particularly noticeable before culminating in an unforgettable finale with wonderful freshness.

Tom Stevenson 18/20: "Chef de caves Thierry Gasco has excelled himself with this Rosé Apanage, which has a perfect pale peach colour that opens to fresh, zesty, sherbety fruit over a pincushion mousse and a lip-smacking finish."

Food Suggestions

One of the Grand Marques of Champagne and rightly so. Madame Louise Pommery took over the small family vineyard at a young age after the unfortunate passing of her husband left her with a young child and an even more immature business in the Pommery & Greno Estate. Louise was an early #GirlPower pioneer, not only because she ran a business at a time when men dominated just about everything, but because she came up with a number of groundbreaking ideas, including storing wines in temperature controlled caves and producing the first Brut (dry) Champagne. When she passed at 71 years, she was the first woman to be given a state funeral in France.

Pommery Apanage Rosé would go amazingly well with salmon and fresh green beans
