What to expect

We all love champagne, however we may not always be in the mood for a full bottle. The Fourrier family produce a half bottle of their Reserve. This champagne is the result of the combination of their best vintages of Pinot Noir (60%) and Chardonnay (40%). Surprising complexity on the nose, with notes of white-fleshed fruits, peach and citrus, towards grapefruit. Rich and full-bodied on the palate with a generous finish.

This has been aged 4 years on lees with a further 6 months in bottle.

It has won a Gold medal at Gilbert Gaillard International Guide Competition 2016 & 2017.

About the house

About the house

Food suggestion

We have only fond things to say about the Fourrier family. Fourth generation heirs Mathilde, Julien and Stephanie now run the house on behalf of this passion family whose vineyards are located in the deep south of the Champagne region in the Cote de Bar. Mathilde is familiar with the Australian market and landscape after spending a considerable period of time here in 2016 learning about her market. Young and extremely passionate Julien Fourrier has taken over the wine making reins and is producing some quality cuvees. This is truly a family affair and a great example of a grower champagne from the south who is marking their mark globally. These wines are exceptional good quality and great value.

Food suggestion

This champagne is ideal as an aperitif. Salmon blinis with dill and creme fraiche would be a tasty accompaniment.
