What to expect

"This vintage opens with a reductive complexity of struck flint and grilled bread unfamiliar in Palmes d’Or. Behind this, the fast-developing personality of the 2006 vintage is displayed in a toasty, secondary style of spice and roast nuts. It culminates in a finish of integrity, marked by just a touch of phenolic bitterness, yet allowing the vibrant acidity and fine chalk minerality of some of Champagne’s most revered grand crus to define a long and well-focused close.

50% chardonnay from Chouilly, Cramant, Oger, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Avize and Montgueux near Troyes; 50% pinot noir from Bouzy, Verzy, Verzenay, Aÿ and Ambonnay."

About the house

About the house

Food suggestion

Embedded in its region and uniting a whopping 4,500 wine growers, Nicolas Feuillatte is the largest wine-growers’ (vignerons) Champagne brand. The Brut NV is the number one selling brand in France and has been for the last three years. The brand is the third largest globally. At 40 years of age the Nicolas Feuillatte brand is also the youngest of the great Champagne houses. This youth allows the house to put forward a new vision of luxury: they believe that luxury is not about social status, but about elegance and attitude, emotion and pleasure, the appreciation of the good and the beautiful.

Food suggestion

Due the complex nature and extended ageding, we would suggest some pan-fried scallops with fresh lemon juice or Seabass fillet served in a citrus court-bouillon stock used mainly to poach fish.
