Know as the House's prestige cuvée, Henriot Cuvée des Enchanteleurs is now available in the pinnacle, most appreciated vintage - 1996! Produced with respect for family tradition and encapsulating the very heart of the Henriot style, this cuvée is dominated by Chardonnay, lending elegance to its complex structure. This is a rare champagne, one only produced in exceptional years.

On the eye, it is radiant, warm and limpid yellow-gold. Fine, persistent effervescence. The nose is dominated by aromas of fresh fruit and slightly candied citrus fruit, followed by floral notes that offer an airy, discreet and pleasant bouquet. It offers a fresh palate, a sign of remarkable purity and great finesse. The wine shows excellent maturity, revealed gradually on the palate through dried fruit, caramel and spicy flavours. This champagne will delight even the most demanding connoisseurs. 

This is an extremely limited release, only 15 bottles are available. All come displayed in a gorgeous, collectable wooden box.

Champagne Henriot was founded in 1808 and Henriot has remained a family affair since then, which is increasingly rare in Champagne. It’s important to look closely at one particular individual as his achievements define the house today. After his father’s untimely death in 1957, Joseph Henriot officially took over the reins of the House in 1962. He became the energy and entrepreneurial spirit behind the rise and success of the house.

Henriot have their eyes firmly set on what they describe as ‘craftsman luxury’. They aim to create high quality champagne to a dedicated following of Henriot Champagne lovers. They focus their energies on the chardonnay variety and apart from the Brut Souverain, they do not use pinot meunier anywhere else. 

50% Chardonnay, 50% Pinot Noir blend. Long maturation.

"Like the straight vintage Henriot (always among the best, and best value, '96s) the prestige Enchanteleurs is very much in that mouthwateringly mineral style. There is even better purity and precision here thanks to use of the best Grand Cru grapes. Though the blend is 50/50 Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, the great white grape shines, especially the late Joseph Henriot's favourite parcel of Chouilly Les Partelaines. Secondary notes of butter, hazelnut and peach confit lurk within the mineral frame. Tops!"

"Tight-grained, with an immediate impression of the sea before forest floor and citrus notes take over. This is bright and fresh, with plenty of spice, toast and candied berry flavors, backed by a firm structure. The finish just keeps going. Best from 2012 through 2040."
