One of the more interesting producers of champagne, Geoffroy makes champagnes worth talking about. Taking over the reins of this father Rene, Jean-Baptiste is a talented and passionate wine producer and his fanatical efforts in the vineyard followed by careful craftsmanship in the cellar have made him one of the most revered winemakers in the region. Geoffroy is located in the grand cru region of Aÿ but the vineyards are located in Cumières which is where the vineyard was located up until recently. Red fruit rules here in wine making style which is as close to biodynamic as possible within committing to the rigours of certification. Champagnes that reflect a sense of place with real character and personality are what Geoffroy is known for. We love this producer.
