Rosé 2013

$139.90

- High quality producer based in Avize

- Drinks like it should cost twice the price. This is our type of Rosé

- Smoked salmon bagel with cream cheese and a little chive

Delicate aromas of red berries and raspberries give way to textures of mirabelle plum and toasted brioche. Smooth and well-structured.

"Palest salmon. This may be mainly Chardonnay but it smells very Pinot to me, with a very light cheesy note. Mouth-filling, broad and flattering. Dry finish with a bit of evolution. This is certainly well distinguished from its white stablemates. Medium persistence and clean as a whistle."

Founded in Avize, a village of Champagne ranked as a Grand Cru, the House of Frerejean Frères was established in 2005. Only 10 hectares in size, this boutique production aspires to preserve and respect the unique terroir, allowing the vines and the wines to express the power and the subtlety of the land. The Frerejean-Taittinger brothers grew up with love and respect for the Champagne tradition. Passionate for oenology, Guillaume, Richard and Rodolphe created their own House of Champagne. Rodolphe has a lot of flair and style and this is reflected in their champagnes.

The versatility of this vintage rosé would see it pair beautifully with a fresh seafood platter or even a Black Forest gateau.
