What to expect


Did we just arrive in Provence? We could swear from the light salmon-orange colour and that savoury yet fragrant raspberry, redcurrant and faint white pepper that we were drinking a Provençal style Rosé with bubbles. 

This is a subtle and elegant style with lots of soft red fruit charm and graceful acidity. Great sensation on the tongue with the extended aging providing plenty of mouthfeel, texture and freshness at the same time.

If you enjoy juicy, savoury styles of Rosé then dive into this with some friends. This is on par with any Grande Marque Rosé and in some instances better. There, we said it.

Technical details

Pinot noir 55% from Côte des Bar (with 10 % red addition) and Chardonnay 45% coming from the Côte des Blancs. First pressing juices only from selected vineyards including a majority of «Coeur de cuvée» pressing juices. It is also a low dosage at 6 g/l.

About the house

About the house


Food suggestion

Founded in 1846 by brothers Jules and Auguste Devaux, the house was then managed by three inspiring women who led the family winery with remarkable energy and talent in equal measure. Devaux is located in the far south of Champagne in an area known as the Cotes des Bar, where big luscious pinot noir fruit is the hero. Approximately 100 hectares of their huge land holding is dedicated to making the house champagne of Devaux, with the remaining fruit sold to other producers. This champagne is a fabulous start if you are taking the first step to move away from the grand-marque, big-brands that you have bought for many years. It is a really well produced range of wines which will totally satisfy your guests at a soiree.

Food suggestion


We're thinking of a good ol' fashioned Prawn Cocktail but perhaps a bit fancier, a là Heston Blumenthal. Schmancy sauce, King or Tiger prawns and crisp iceberg lettuce. 'Microphone hits the floor.'
