What to expect

Piper Heidsieck has undergone significant improvements over the past 6 years under the new ownership and direction of awarded winemaker Regis Camus at the helm. Lower production quantities and increased quality make this a great value champagne.

"Piper NV is hugely popular but the vintage is a fraction of the company’s sales, and an infinitely better wine. It’s 52% chardonnay and 48% pinot noir. The bouquet is very toasty and mellow, layered with roasted nut and bakery aromas. It’s full-bodied, rich and strong, with generous flavour and backbone, layered and persistent. " - 96 Points, Huon Hooke

About the House

About the House

Food Suggestion

Created in 1785 by Florens-Louis Heidsieck who aimed to create a wine worthy of a Queen, Piper-Heidsieck is one of France’s oldest champagne houses. With a grand history, the house has been synonymous with excellence, boldness, and grandeur for 230 years. One of the world’s most awarded champagnes, Piper-Heidsieck benefits from the expertise of celebrated winemaker, Régis Camus, who has been named 'Sparkling Winemaker of the Year' 8 times over the past 10 years.

Food Suggestion

As this wine has great richness and development in flavour, it would comfortably pair with chicken, roasted with lemon and rosemary. If you are into soups, cellarmaster Severine Frerson recommends creamy chestnut soup with fennel and slices of duck breast.
