"Very accessible already with red apples, tropical fruit and plenty of more red fruits. It’s a blend of 60% Pinot noir, 30% Chardonnay & 10% Pinot Blanc (base 2016 + wine from 2010 right through to 2015).

About the house


Charles Dufour is an considered one of the most important figures for organic champagne production. He is a vigneron from Côte des Bar in the village of Landreville. Charles Dufour is a wine grower representing a new generation of small vignerons. He started producing high quality Champagne in 2006 in the family business, then he decided to convert to organic agriculture, conversion completed with the harvesting in 2010.  All grapes for his new line Charles Dufour - Les Vignes du 7 are now strictly certified. Charles' purist choice is not limited to the elimination of chemicals in the field, it also affects the vinification process, even though it is a very complicated one for Champagne. This is Charles Dufour's recipe for an authentic Champagne, able to reflect the terroir of the Côte with a round taste, before being successful Champagnes
