- Fairly new Maison, established in 1981
- Pinot noir dominant champagne
- Voluptuous and rich wine
The Brut Premiere Cuvée uses 50% reserve wine with 3-4 years ageing on lees which is streets ahead of most brut non-vintage wines.
Pinot noir takes the lead with 45% with chardonnay 33% and pinot meunier at 22%. Straw-yellow in colour with a very fine bead.
After a few moments in the glass, this becomes more luscious and prominent with swirls of raspberry, strawberry and layered with almond cream and freshly baked pastry. The palate is as the nose would suggest, voluptuous and rich. This is an impressive non-vintage champagne with exceptional balance.
