Charles Collin Rosé Champagne
The colour is salmon-pink, highlighting the addition of 10% Pinot noir as a still wine and adds some power allowing this stellar cuvee to marry up to a huge range of dishes. The nose is filled with notes of fresh raspberry, pink grapefruit and tangy pomegranate.
On the palate, the vinosity of this wine is offset by freshness of wild strawberries, and delicate red fruits. The finish is long with a complex and elegant breadth of flavours. A personal favourite of our in-house Sommelier.
Domaine Marcel Joubert 'Beaujolais-Villages' Cuvée A L'Ancienne 2018
Light and smooth red fruit fun Gamay, cut by firm acidity and a nice peppery finish, not as dark and granular as Joubert’s Cru wines. Low alcohol despite the hot vintage, will liven up any occasion.
Old western-exposed Beaujolais vineyard on rocky and sandy volcanic soils. Organic farming with some biodynamic insights. Hand-harvest, whole-cluster semi-carbonic maceration in cement tanks without the addition of yeast or sulphates. Less extended vatting and ageing than the Crus in order to produce fresh and fruity juice. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.
