Big Bottles - Magnums and more
Is bigger always better? The age old question that is always up for debate no matter the subject! With champagne the answer is always yes because…bigger bottle = more champagne! The quality of wine is inherently better as the larger the bottle, the less exposure the wine has to oxygen. They look seriously impressive, adding a sense of drama to any occasion.
May it be magnums, jeroboams, methuzelahs and all the way up to nabuchadnezzars (15 litres!), who wouldn’t want to splurge a little bit more and taste a little bit more for that special occasion?

Billecart-Salmon (Pronounced beel-kahr sahl-moh) have a fresh, clean and elegant style. They champion the use of the meunier grape which is often added to other cuvees without fanfare in other houses. The absolutely pristine wine making facilities located in Mareuil-Sur-Aÿ are overseen by multiple generations of the family as well as chef winemaker Francois Domi. The house purposely ferments at a lower temperature elongating the ferment to weeks and not days as can be standard in champagne, which helps capture the pristine nature of the fruit. Striking a perfect balance between youthfulness and maturity, seduction and character, freshness and vinosity, Brut Premier is a champagne that is harmonious and structured, elegant and lively, with a unique exuberance. Roederer is still family owned and run and has a significant land holding of over 230 hectares allowing them to supply 70% of their grape requirements with excellent fruit. We are impressed by Louis Roederer’s increasing commitment to exploring biodynamics both with treatment of their vast vineyard holdings plus the recent acquisition of a 15 hectare biodynamic parcel from Leclerc Briant. A relatively small 3 million bottles per annum of production are exported, largely to the USA.

Journalist Review

"A masterful presentation of impeccably ripe fruit of intricate balance and abundant appeal: a dependable bargain in the non-vintage champagne stakes. It's on the rise in its new, dedicated facility.

Until the 2009 base, Brut Premier reserves came from a solera, in Jean-Baptiste Lecaillons view, lacking focus and 'showing too much character of having been made in the cellar.' The solera is now no more, bringing greater focus, more precise mineral articulation and greater emphasis on ripe fruit.

Dosage was sensibly dropped from 10-11g/L to 9.5 g/L. The result in 2010 is a wonderful accord between pretty lemon blossom, apple and pear fruit, the spicy, toasty, nutmeg allure of barrel-fermentation and bottle age, and the racy freshness of malic acidity. It's at once impeccably fresh and enticingly complex, with a long finish of soft chalk minerality."

Tyson Stelzer - The Champagne Guide 2016-2017

["Brut","Louis Roederer","Magnum","No Malolactic Fermentation","Over $200","Over $500","Rare Collection","Rare Collections","Region: Reims","Size: Jeroboam","Size: Magnum","Taste: Apple","Taste: Barrel-maturation","Taste: Lemon Blossom","Taste: Malic Acidity","Taste: Mineral","Taste: Nutmeg","Taste: Spicy","Taste: Toasty","Winemaker: Jean-Baptiste Lecaillon","Year: NV
"option1":"Single","option2":null,"option3":null
[33196513689709
["Single
["//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1922/1617/products/roederermagnum.jpg?v=1607464682
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1922/1617/products/roederermagnum.jpg?v=1607464682
Please Select

- Signature blend of Champagne Louis Roederer

- An exceptional Magnum format (2 standard bottles)

- Ultimate entertainer or piece of collection

A blend of 40% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir and 20% Pinot Meunier.
